4.1.7 installs as a new app if you are on 2.x. Box Seats now uses the package name com.boxseats.app, so Android treats it as a separate install and will not update a Box Seats or Movie Magic build older than 3.2.0 over the top. Both will sit on your home screen until you remove the old one.

To keep your setup: open your existing app first, go to Settings → Backup and export a backup file. Install 4.1.7, import that file from Settings → Backup, check your providers and recordings are there, then uninstall the old app. Uninstalling first throws the backup away with it.

1. On your box: Settings → Security → allow Unknown sources.
2. Open this page in the box's browser or a downloader app.
3. Press Download APK, then open the downloaded file.
4. Confirm the install prompt.
5. Launch Box Seats from your Android TV home screen.
